    Skinner has not been any better, I actually think he has been worse so far this season than Campbell. Oilers are in deep deep shit!

    WHAT??????? The Oilers have placed Jack Campbell on waivers to go to the minors? Yeah, things aren't going well–the game last night was an example of how bad things have gotten–I was watching the game and ,at one point, the Oilers were outshooting them 19-2,and, then 3 goals on 5 shots against, and they're down 3-1—–any chance anyone claims him at that price??

    Thanks for the update Mike!
    That's unfortunate news re: Campbell. A few thoughts:
    1. It's NOT all his fault. He's playing on a team who's success rises & falls based on their "F" group's success & that includes the best player in the world in McDavid and a top 5 player in the world in Draisaitl PLUS other solid "F" talent in RNH, Hyman & Kane. When their "F" group struggles it's left to a mediocre "D" corps and 2 struggling "G" and that's not a recipe for success on most nights.
    2. Oilers' "D" is porous and they consistently leave Campbell & Skinner high & dry!!!! They play a zone "D" (like most teams in NHL do) and lose coverage too often. They aren't good enough to play man on man against most teams. As noted above…that leaves the "G" hanging out to dry.
    3. The psyche of Skinner & Campbell is in the gutter. Both are fried with all the losing. Tough to rebound when your self-confidence is shot and you know that your "D" sucks!!!!
    4. Hard to blame Campbell for going for the $$$ when he did. Oilers' spent too much on an unproven commodity and that's their fault.
    Anyways…. unfortunately his cap hit will scare most teams away and he'll probably end up in the minors and who knows if he can claw his way back at this point. In his favour: he's young and has shown he can play when he was with the Leafs…maybe a team will take a gamble on him.

    So hilarious 😅….loving these Alberta teams falling apart. the Leafs KNEW Campbell wasn't much good….but Dunce Ken Holland goes out and signs him. lol. EDM are trash and were ALWAYS JUST A POWER PLAY TEAM …the rest is just nonsense and luck. Both Calgary and Edmonton won't make the playoffs this year and it's great. Go Leafs Go

    Some of the D-men should be put on waivers as well, like Ceci and Kulak. And bring up Gleason and Kemp once they clear or get claimed.
