Unfortunately we don't get full cap relief on that just what, 1.125 mil out of 5 we pay. I feel for Jack too (and his family) but results are results. Stu isn't doing better folks. I honestly don't know if it will be Pickard or not. Rodrigue has a good record too. We'll see.
I warned about the "Win Now" mentality 3 years ago. Dallas Eskins conned McTavish into that idea back in the day and it was yet another Oiler disaster. Oilers took the "Win Now" approach yet again 3 years ago, made some really stupid signings as a result, and have now sunk their own ship. They will not recover from this anytime soon. To bad Skinner is only 5% better. As for who I feel sorry for, I feel far more sorry for homeless people and joe average then I do for a multimillionaire Goalie getting a demotion.
We have had the same goaltender coach…but keep running through goaltenders. We have had poor defensive play (outscored it the last two years) but blame the goaltenders. The coach is being blamed for the new defensive system, but the players are committing errors and then we don’t get the high quality save…it’s a tire fire, but i don’t get how we have the same goalie coach (Dubnyk wound up being a star elsewhere…where they played defense) I could ramble on…players are missing assignments and the coach can’t even hold players accountable because we can’t even skate a full team…it’s brutal. What a change from last year.

I guess they had to do something dramatic… may or may not work, but the same is true of any other move they could make.

How about nurse, Bouchard and McLeod get benched every time they miss the net with a shot. Bouchard misses 99 percent of the shots he takes 😊
