Knights lack Depth so can't say surprised they lost to AHL or ECHL Kings. Berube might be as good or better than any of the LAK Goalies who is on a PTO. So Akii Thomas another failed pick got a few points. McCrimmon has failed to draft a single player that has played in NHL at all for regular season. Blake The Mistake can't draft either but least his guys have played a few games or more. Unless that changes I can't see anybody coming from Minors that will make Impact. Cassidy I think might have already lost the team. He was set to stick with Bro even though 31 other teams passed on claiming him off waivers. Now the expectations are Stanley Cup or least Winning Division going Deep Into Playoffs. Kings problem is paying guys like Mediocre Mikey over 4M or PLD over 8M along with Drew/Anze over 10M. Their 21 man roster ;).

I swear every time Stone gets hit hard my heart sinks, they have singling him out and ragdoll-ing him any time a team has the opportunity. It's sad to say I don't think we are going to go B2B with this big target we have on our backs. The season hasn't even started, and Mark Stone might be on IR.
There is this concern about where Max Comtois can fit in the lineup. To me, it's obvious where he fits on the VGK – that's taking the spot of Will Carrier. How so? Just look at the numbers and the facts that Carrier is 4 years older and will be an UFA July 1st ………. and Carrier will most likely demand about $2m in his next contract up from $1.4m. Bottom line is that GM McCrimmon will not give him this raise to play leftwing on the 4th line and he'll sign with another team as a free agent. Why lose both Comtois and Carrier? Trade Carrier now for a draft choice and sign Comtois to play 4th line leftwing at ……. $1.2m for 3 seasons. Comparisons favor Comtois over Carrier – 24 vs 28. Nearly identical height and weight. Both leftwingers. Comtois is more productive – Comtois produces .48 pts/game vs .26 for Carrier. Comtois' shooting average is 12.8% vs Carrier's 8.8%, 50% more accurate scoring goals. Comtois is 24. Carrier will be approaching 29 next summer. We've seen Carrier's best. Comtois is already more productive than Carrier. Move Carrier NOW for a draft choice. Then sign Comtois. Get younger and save cap space.

Not every captain is going to complain like that. I appreciate you breaking it down though on why it was not a penalty. Lol the hit was CLEAN. Kings fans arent the only ones who think that. Just about everyone except some golden knights fans. 😂 this is hockey. Pre season or not that was a good clean hit. Stone got hit even harder in his ego.
