What I saw against Tampa is a team making the same mistakes in the game as with the St-Louis Blues. 2 games in a row of the same mistakes marks a trend. Not going to lie. I am worried.
Let’s be honest, Allen and Montembault are 1a 1b, here in Montreal, they do not hold that same value to the other teams, Carolina is working something out with Halak, Edmonton is trying out their 3rd goalie, the priority this soon in the season is to find a fix internally for most teams, which is also what Montreal is doing with its forward group, trying out almost anybody to complete that first line, unsuccessfully.
Even Tampa is winging it, despite the obvious need in net, because everything else is solid enough to hold on, until Vasilevsky returns. Many more teams are doing the 3 goalers rotation and have more interesting options to pick from, which will influence greatly the potential return we would get and there is also a couple of free agents still available.
Let’s not the mistake to assume there is only us as an option.

AND… according to Tony Marinaro last night on his podcast the CANADIENS are looking for a goalie! Why would they give up a goalie now unless the return is just too good to turn down? The longer the Canes situation goes the better for us IMO. Just let it stew for a while..😅

{IF} Carolina calls to inquire of one of our goalies, & if I were on the Habs end of the phone, I would right away express a [LITTLE INTEREST] at the beginning just to let the Canes [KNOW] that it was [NOT APPRECIATED] what went down with the offer sheet. The Habs are in an even [BETTER SITUATION] with trading a goalie because the Oilers are in need as well & that puts the Canadians in a much better bargaining/trade position. The Canadians can use this situation to their advantage a get a much better trade value than they ordinarily would be able if the market was loaded with extras in the abundances of goalies available? Go Habs
None of the current rotation of goalies are permanent.
Fowler is where my hopes are internally … this is not a goalies league anymore …
