Do the Preds trade Saros this year?

Was watching this [Bar Down Podcast](https://youtu.be/h8B-4gV-yxU?si=pNNe3LGnv9yj6gLE&t=810) where they brought up a lot of good points about trading Saros. He’s got 2 years left, we have Askarov coming up (probably around then), and our playoff outlook for the next two years is pretty slim so why hold onto such a high value piece?

Would be really painful to see him go but I think we could get some massive pieces for him and then we have Askarov to fill in behind him. Also, would be very sick to see Saros make a deep play with another team because he really has what it takes to pull a cup if he had a solid team in front of him.

How do yall feel about it? Anyone in mind that you’d trade him for?

HE’S OURS DAMMIT! Tell the vultures to back off!

I’m at the point where I want the guy to win a cup, and unfortunately in the next two years that’s not going to happen on our team.

Lol. No. Bar Down just like clickbait. Asky isn’t ready yet. Completely unproven.

I’ve seen a lot of trade talk coming from the Oilers fans. They are absolutely delusional when throwing out potential trade pieces. I don’t see why the Preds would entertain a trade with them that didn’t involve Draisaitl. Sorry, but if you want us to trade our best player, and top 3 Goalie in the league, it’s going to take more than Bouchard and a second.

People forget how hard it is to find quality goalies.

The only teams that can survive with average/below average goaltenders are offensively explosive teams that can post 4-5 goals a game and outscore their defensive weaknesses. We are not one of those teams.

Also, I don’t want to do shit to help the Oilers. Loved watching them implode the other night and fight amongst themselves. Fuck em.

At this rate I think Trotz is going to try for a 2 goalie system with Saros and Askrov in the future. So I say no

My concern is that Asky isn’t ready. Do I think he deserves a shot? Absolutely, but juice was nearly 24 before he came up. Goalies take longer than others and I would be concerned that putting that pressure on him would result in a Carter Hart like situation. I’m not inclined to rush Asky’s development to trade juice.

That said, if someone comes and offers Trotz a deal he can’t refuse I won’t be mad if he takes it, but it should take a lot for Trotz to move him

If no I wanna hear the argument as to why not. This is finally the year to “tank” and it’s trending that way. What’s the point in keeping him? the Preds need to lose but he’s so good that he drags them to the middle.

It’s best for both parties. Lankinen would be a perfect tank commander. If it actually happens is a whole other debate but on paper I think absolutely they should.

But could we tank this year as bad as the Blackhawks or Sharks? I think it would be bad idea to get rid of saros. Maybe oreily? Tomasino?

Askarov isn’t ready yet and the more we wait, the more Juices value goes down. It’s a matter of if the franchise wants to struggle in net until Askarov is ready.

Not really saying Lank will struggle, but you know what I mean.

We don’t even know if Askarov will ultimately be as good as Saros. Seems risky, talented and promising as he is

Wish the Preds could do something short term, like send to Edmonton for 1 or 2 yrs for 2nd round pick, but with some kind of return option so Preds get to keep him for post-lottery use.

Well I’ve been on the Levis over Tannehill deal for long time now, so fuck it.
